I had a really beautiful week visiting the pine trees and escaping the desert heat. There are some gorgeous forest classes heading your way soon, and BTS on Patreon if you want to see what the journey was like.

✨ This Week

Patreon

• Yoga Tier: BTS + another forest class — a gentle 20‑minute full‑body stretch

• Esoteric Tier: Since I ran out of time this week while traveling, we’ll do the dream talk and share

YouTube: • 30‑minute gentle yoga class

Next week’s Sunday Status will be on the Niyamas, the second limb of yoga. We covered the first limb of yoga the Yamas a few weeks back, and now it’s time to continue our journey through the eight limbs.

🌙 Audience Questions

1) Can inversions like handstands or headstands make you feel dizzy? What can you do to ease it?

Yes — this is fairly common. Even downward dog or standing forward folds can cause dizziness. It can happen for several reasons: blood pressure changes, the inner ear being challenged, holding your breath, not eating enough (hypoglycemia), dehydration, or heat.

To help ease dizziness:

• drink enough water

• make sure your body is fueled

• move slowly in and out of poses

• rest if dizziness appears

• use a visual focus point for proprioception

• keep breathing steadily

• go gently with inversions if your body isn’t used to being upside down

If dizziness lasts a long time, gets worse, or never clears, it’s important to consult a doctor to rule out underlying conditions.

2) What qualities make a yoga instructor a good fit for a collaboration?

Just like any joint effort, the same skills apply: the desire to work together, the skills needed to achieve the goal, and the motivation and organization to get it done. Flexibility in personality helps, too — being able to accept new ideas and trust each other.

Collaborations can be incredibly rewarding and increase output exponentially, but it can also be challenging to find the right partnership that is balanced. Otherwise, I’m reminded of those forced school group projects where one person does all the work, and the others take credit… or the control‑freak who can’t let go of the reins.

3) Can yoga help with premature ejaculation, and how soon would results appear?

Yoga can help with consistent practice. It supports more efficient movement, tones the nervous system through breathwork and presence, and strengthens the pelvic floor through the bandhas.

Premature ejaculation is often tied to a heightened fight‑or‑flight state (sympathetic nervous system). Yoga helps by teaching us how to stay calmer and spend more time in the parasympathetic “rest and digest” state. Breathwork is key — practicing pranayama like alternate nostril breathing daily can help.

Asanas strengthen the body and create more ease. Practicing the bandhas — especially Mula Bandha, which directly engages the pelvic floor — builds awareness so you can relax those muscles when they begin to spasm with arousal.

Learning to stay calm, control your breath, and engage/disengage the pelvic floor are the main points here that yoga can help with. How long it takes depends on dedication, mindset, and consistency.

It may also require shifting away from performative, rushed sexual habits (often learned from porn or even regular movies and TV). That anxious, hurried quality keeps the body hyped up and reactive. Slowing down, breathing, and letting go of what you think it “should” look like is essential if you are trying to stay in the parasympathetic nervous system.

Another yogic and spiritual principle: Practice presence. I recommend taking that approach to your whole life. I doubt it's just the bedroom that creates stressed moments in your life. This is where presence comes in, anytime during the day when you start to rush or feel pressure to go faster, or like time is running out.  You know that pesky feeling that comes in when we are late somewhere and start to rush. This is where the practice begins. Consciously come back to the moment, slooowwww to a snail's pace even though it will feel uncomfortable as hell in the beginning. Practice some breathwork and let yourself slide back into a relaxed state of being. Think of this as the prerequisite for the bedroom because if you can’t relax in everyday activities, it's hard to imagine you’ll be able to relax in the bedroom.

4) If you could master any profession overnight, which one would you pick?

An artistic trade — something that normally takes years of practice to master. Playing an instrument, or even learning a language overnight, would be incredible.
